Welcome

I’m Megan Rose, a self-taught painter who works mostly outdoors, in the harbors, parks and back roads of central Connecticut. Light on location refuses to sit still, so my paintings tend to be quick, loose and honest about the weather.

Off the easel, I’m a perpetual student. I teach yoga, sign up for more workshops than my calendar can hold, and usually have a trip in the works. I’m also a mother, a registered nurse, and an incurable collector of rocks, seeds and feathers (a nature witch, fondly speaking).

I founded the Central Connecticut Plein Air Guild, where artists of every level meet each month to paint somewhere new.

Wander around. I’m glad you’re here.
